Hi, my name is Pastor Shellie Jankowski. I was faithfully brought up in church from birth and gave my heart to Jesus Christ and was filled with the Holy Spirit when I was eight years old. I was taught to use my gifts and talents to serve others and have served in different areas of ministry since 1982 (as a freshman in high school.)

I married the love of my life, Brian, in 1995. I am so thankful that Brian chose me to be his life-long companion. I certainly could not imagine doing life with anyone else. God has blessed our marriage with two children who we absolutely adore ~ Anthony and Brianna. Although Anthony and Brianna are far from being my 'littles' anymore, I still love spending time with them and being included in their lives.

In 2009, we attended a service at Blissville to honor our local firefighter. It was on that day that I read, 'Welcome Home... We have been waiting for you' in their welcome packet. Tears began to well up in my eyes. I knew at that moment that this the place God had called us to.

Since attending Blissville I have served on many committees including, Children & Youth Coordinator, Ministerial, Pastoral Search, Women's Work, and I was a member of the Music & Worship team. I have also filled the pulpit on numerous Sunday mornings in our pastor's absences. At the time I was voted in as pastor, I was serving as the church secretary; the Assistant Guiding Committee Chairperson; the Christian Education Chairperson; youth Sunday School and one of the Jr Church teachers; a Good News Club coordinator and teacher; and serving on the Nominating and Deacon Committees.

I am blessed that I learned early in life how to take God's Word and apply it to my life and whatever circumstances I might be going through at the time. This has not only helped me to navigate better through life, but it has also helped me to develop a unique teaching style, teaching others to take God at His Word.

I believe 'my calling' comes from God's Word found in Ephesians 3:7-9 (MSG):

7-8This is my life work: helping people understand and respond to this Message. It came as a sheer gift to me, a real surprise,    God handling all the details. When it came to presenting the Message to people who had no background in God's way, I was the    least qualified of any of the available Christians. God saw to it that I was equipped, but you can be sure that it had nothing to do    with my natural abilities.
9-10And so here I am, preaching and writing about things that are way over my head, the inexhaustible riches and generosity    of Christ. My task is to bring out in the open and make plain what God, who created all this in the first place, has been doing in    secret and behind the scenes all along. through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan    of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels!

My life motto comes from a quote by Erma Bombeck,
'When I stand before God at the end of my life,
I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left,
                   and could say,
'I used everything You gave me'.'

On September 6th, 2020, I was voted in as Blissville's part-time interim pastor. I am blessed to be a servant and shepherd to this Blissville congregation. I am currently working to become a licensed and ordained minister. I want to see Blissville become the best soul winning, heart mending, nurturing, community serving, and Kingdom-focused congregation that she was created to be.

I hope you will join me on this AWESOME adventure of faith! May God bless you and keep you!
